July 2006: Gold Tour of New Facility
On July 19, over 100 supporters of Roosevelt High School attended a sneak preview of the $80 million RHS renovation. This exclusive tour lead by the architects who designed the new school offered an opportunity to see the new athletic facilities, the Broadway-quality performing arts center, and how the auditorium changed into a three-story library.
The tour groups joined in the Commons (we used to call it "the lunchroom") for light refreshments and for a toast to the school. The Gold Tour was an exciting start to the events celebrating the new school opening in September 2006.
